What is a business Nudge?
Think of a ‘Nudge’ as a subtle persuasion technique that uses human nature to encourage people to act in a certain way. Nudge techniques have proved highly successful in the social world and The Get Noticed Consultancy brings these techniques into the business world to accelerate sales.
Most governments and businesses are now using ‘nudge’ techniques to improve society or increase revenue (eg UK government 'Behavioural Insights Team' and Behavioural Economics consultants). There are hundreds of nudges that can be applied to both society and businesses. Many have been around for years, both good ones and bad ones. Good nudges may improve business by a few percent and others by tens of percent.
Nudge techniques make it as easy as possible for people to do the ‘right’ thing socially or in business.
